What is PageToFace?
PageToFace transforms book character descriptions into AI-generated portraits. Enter a book title, browse extracted characters, and generate portraits based purely on the written description — not movie casting.
How is this different from other AI portrait tools?
We focus exclusively on literary characters. Our portraits are generated from the author's descriptions, not from actors or screen adaptations. Each character's age, appearance, clothing, and era details are extracted from literary sources.
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?
No. You get 3 free portrait generations just by creating an account. No credit card required.
What happens when I use all 3 free generations?
You'll see a prompt to upgrade to a paid plan. Free trial generations do not renew.
How are credits charged?
Credits are only deducted for successful generations. If the AI provider fails, no credit is charged and you'll see a clear error message.
Do unused credits roll over?
No, credits reset at the start of each billing period. However, you can purchase top-ups for additional credits.
What AI model do you use?
We use state-of-the-art image generation models via OpenRouter. The specific model may be updated to provide the best quality.
How accurate are the portraits?
Portraits are AI interpretations based on textual descriptions. They may not perfectly match every reader's imagination. We always display the disclaimer: "AI interpretation. May be inaccurate."
Can I share generated portraits?
Yes! Each portrait gets a unique public share link that you can send to friends.
Where are my images stored?
Images are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 and accessible via your gallery.
